Families traveling to Branson with a toddler must make plans in advance and think of activities and places to go that will be exciting and interesting for the kids.

Your toddlers will have many opportunities to explore and learn, including wonderful boating in Branson, various outdoor activities, and nature parks. Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure

One of the top 30 attractions in Branson, Missouri, is the Butterfly Palace, which features more than 1,000 real butterflies and a variety of tropical birds, reptiles, and plants. You will learn more about the rainforest at the attraction's Living Rainforest Science Center.

The amphibians and reptiles held at the center include geckos, salamanders, and poison dart frogs. Additionally, visitors can look at butterfly wings under a microscope. The Emerald Mirror Maze and Banyan Tree Adventure are also kid-friendly attractions.


Branson Dinosaur Museum

Once the young visitors learn about plant-eating dinosaurs and herbivorous and carnivorous animals at the Branson Dinosaur Museum, they will surely enjoy the fun and excitement. A fossil exhibit, a scavenger hunt, a dinosaur gift store, dinosaur-related documentaries, coloring books, and an "I Survived the Branson Dinosaur Museum" sticker are also available.

Branson Dinosaur Museum offers a memorable experience since it was created with kids in mind! Your children can interact closely with everything from the tiny, four-winged Microraptor to the enormous Tyrannosaurus rex at the museum. The two-and-a-half-story T-Rex is amazing to see!


Fritz's Adventure

At Fritz's Adventure in Branson, there is an adventure for everyone! WonderWorks

You can get a close-up look at science at WonderWorks Branson. You may experience, touch, and manipulate exhibits at WonderWorks instead of viewing them. At WonderWorks, there are more than a hundred different exhibitions. Physics, meteorology, light, space, electricity, and sound are all topics you can research.

At the Hurricane Shack exhibit, you can experience what it's like standing in Category 1 hurricane-force winds. In the temperature exhibit, you may observe how long your hand will stay submerged in 28°F water.

Additionally, you can board a Mercury spacecraft model. Every year, WonderWorks is open so you and your family can enjoy all the wonder and fun. To enjoy all the WonderWorks rides, you should attend wearing closed-toe shoes.


Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery

Rainbow and brown trout are bred in Missouri's largest trout hatchery, Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery. An eight-minute video on trout farming, a live animal presentation, and engaging exhibits are all included in the facility visit.

You can observe 700,000 trout, feed fish for 25 cents, go fishing (please read the rules before fishing), and use the hiking trails, picnic area, and nature study area, all available. Amazing Pets

Animal enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy a unique form of entertainment with The Amazing Pets presentation. During the presentation, trained cats, dogs, and birds perform solo and ensemble routines.

They will be dressed in bright costumes with frilly collars, dancing to music, riding scooters, and shooting hoops. Watch the parrots soaring above you as the act is going on! Throughout the show, other animals saved from shelters were present.


Downtown Branson

It's fun to meander through Branson's Historic Downtown with children. Dick's 5 & 10 is a favorite with children, and its candy store is stocked with past and present sweets. The Branson Ferris Wheel

This History of Branson's Lake Taneycomo Branson is home to three stunning lakes: Table Rock Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, and Lake Taneycomo. With its calm waters, the beautiful Lake Taneycomo offers more water recreation opportunities for individuals of all ages, including boating, fishing, swimming, and even scuba diving. This artificial lake in Taney County was created from a segment of the White River. The name of the river comes from the county it is in. Water sports enthusiasts constantly come to Lake Taneycomo for more exhilarating water activities, such as a fantastic adventure ride on a jetboat in Branson. When the White River was obstructed by the Powersite Dam in Forsyth, Missouri, in 1913, Lake Taneycomo was created. From 1913 to 1958, it was a lake with warm water. In the 1920s and 1930s, tourists started to swarm the lake and the nearby towns of Branson and Rockaway Beach. Visitors were drawn to the stunning and crystal-clear waters of Lake Taneycomo for activities like water skiing, boating, fishing, sunning, and swimming. The lakeside communities had restaurants, lodging, and amusement centers, including skee ball and bumper cars. After the Table Rock Dam was built in 1958, Lake Taneycomo's water source changed. The White River's flowing waters transformed Table Rock Lake's bottom tailwater into Lake Taneycomo by pouring from the dam overflow. The deep tailwaters of Table Rock Lake are released via the dam into Lake Taneycomo. The cold water of Lake Taneycomo made swimming and other water activities challenging. Rockaway Beach saw a decline in visitors as Branson and Table Rock Lake saw an increase. Up until 1958, the White River was a lake with warm water. After the Table Rock Dam was built in August 1958, the water for Lake Taneycomo originates from the lake's bottom. The lake's temperature has remained in the mid-50s ever since.
