Talking Rocks Cavern
For this attraction, man and nature came together spectacularly. Nature contributed the dazzling crystal formations, while man provided the light and sound extravaganza and the concrete infrastructure required to appreciate them. One of the first tourist attractions in the Ozarks was spelunking. Talking Rocks Cavern has been in business for almost a century.
To see the formations, you must descend more than 200 steps. On tour, you'll learn about the attraction's history as well as the geological processes that shaped it. However, you can now do a lot more than visit the caves. If you want to spend some money, get a bag of 'mining raw' from the gift shop at the cave's mouth, and then head over to the sluicing trough to learn how gems are mined.
There are also four separate walking paths nearby, ranging in difficulty from easy to complex, all of which take less than an hour and pass by attractions, including the Springhouse, Lookout Tower, and Waterfalls. Veterans Memorial Museum

Branson Scenic Railway
Find a seat on this antique railcar and take a 40-mile train ride through the Ozarks' forested foothills to appreciate the beauty of the Ozarks. The conductor of the train acts as your narrator, taking you through the area's fascinating history. You can dine in an old-fashioned dining car while cruising past creeks, rivers, valleys, and the ruins of ghost towns.
